Join the Sewerage and Water Board’s Environmental Affairs staff team up to deliver educational materials to French Quarter businesses.

SWBNO staff will meet at 9 am at entrance Armstrong Park where we will then divide into four to five teams. Teams will work door to door across the Vieux Carre to visit businesses where we will deliver educational materials about waste management and recycling.

Our goal is to ensure that French Quarter businesses and in particular restaurant staff are aware of:
- the proper way to handle fats, oils and grease,
- the proper place to wash mats and dispose of wash water,
- recycling opportunity and best practices

Ultimately this outreach aims to help ensure that all business are aware of environmental regulations and best practices.
